KGB 1.0 is shareware! If you really like it send $5 (or whatever you see fit- i.e. Beer, large iron Buddhas, gold medallions, your matching green luggage from 1972, a large shipment of fishsticks meant to be diverted through Minneapolis and sent finally to El Paso, 12 volt power supplies, or shards of glass) to Joe Flores @ 7418 w. 19th Ave, Lakewood, CO, 80215. We'll send you levels and some other nifty things that go along with KGB. If you find major bugs or other problems with it email us at jflores@mines.edu, myee@mines.edu or csakanai@mines.edu. Remember to register or we'll get mad and start to yell.
To play the game- Shoot the evil overlord as he tries to take over the world. The funny looking icon that says 'Ammo' will give you more bullets or shells (duh?). Shooting the things that look like guns will give you either a) an HK MP5 that counts as 3x the power of a regular gun, or an HK grenade launcher which just kicks ass. To shoot and kill the evil dictator, or to destroy the many objects in and about the game, click the mouse (!). After getting different guns, press the down arrow to switch between guns. That's as complicated as it gets.
Compiling and testing were done on a 100Mz Power PC, so if it don't run, crashes or grows arms and eats you...buy a new computer! (Hey we had to put up with it, we compiled and ran SkyDive on a Color Classic! I mean come on you can't get much worse.)
NOTE!: There are some known bugs that we have yet to fully understand the origin of- #1 The ENEMY occasionally disappears and we don't know where he goes, it may be a problem with the whole randomness of it all, but who knows? #2 The double explosions when things blow up are... unexplained! I think it may be the people in the black helicopters, 'cause they're after me! #3 Cockroaches, Crickets, and a large Beatle (maybe Ringo, possibly George, he's cowering in the corner of the room and has yet to say anything)
Possible updates to come include the actual use of the number of evil dictators killed and some other possible stuff that has yet to be fully implemented in version 1.0. If you really want them, we'll procrastinate about it for a bit and then decide that it's not worth it to release them.
